A Regenerative Path Through Sugar

Currently, the US is the only country with no domestic resource that provides USDA organic sugar.

For more than 20 years, Global Organics has proudly partnered with the Native Green Cane Project in Brazil – the largest sustainable agriculture project in the world. Through the Native Green Cane Project, they have a closed-loop sugarcane process that puts the focus on maintaining a healthy ecosystem, rather than maintaining a healthy crop. Their sugarcane growth, production and shipping to the US is 100% carbon neutral.

A Kombucha Crisis

In 2010 many kombucha brands were discovered to be over the 0.5% alcohol limit for non-alcoholic beverages. Rampant non-compliance resulted in a multitude of class action lawsuits against some of the largest, well-known brands—including ourselves.

Our Response

Determined to continue brewing kombucha, we set out to develop a scaleable manufacturing process that blended traditional fermentation methods with advanced testing processes. We invested in state-of-the-art testing equipment, consulted microbiologists and experimented over the last decade to develop the process we still use today.

Successful Result

With the implementation of control testing and variable control methods, we continue to improve our live cultures and overall manufacturing process. FedUp is one of the only traditional kombucha brewers that delivers a consistently alcohol-compliant product.
